Kansas Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, provide or remove an official booking photo, arrange bond, or retrieve a record from an agency. Contact the government office that created or holds the record.
Which Kansas Office Holds the Record?
Kansas has no single statewide county booking office. An arrest record or booking photo is usually held by the sheriff, police department, or jail responsible for that county. Start with the county where the arrest or booking occurred, then use the agency's own records route for a specific record.
- For a county arrest, choose that county in the County Directory. Its local page points to the official roster, booking feed, and records office when those are available.
- For the fields in a booking record or a request for an existing photo, read the Kansas booking and records guide, then ask the record-holding county agency.
- For a person sentenced to Kansas state corrections or under state supervision, search the official KASPER offender system. KDOC says it covers current and former people sentenced to the Secretary of Corrections, and it is not a county arrest database.
- For an existing record held by the Kansas Department of Corrections, use its public-records request portal. KORA requests seek existing records and may incur reasonable actual costs. The agency should respond or explain when it can respond within three business days; that is not a promise that every record will be produced in that time.
- For federal custody, check the official Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator. The BOP locator does not provide booking photos.
- For what happened after a Kansas booking, contact the court or clerk for the case record; the Kansas mugshot access guide explains how arrest records and court records differ.
